Atletico prepare for new La Liga season

It may look like a holiday destination, but the sunny hills of Segovia in Spain are where Atletico Madrid have been preparing for the new La Liga season.

The squad will embark on a pre-season tour of South and Central America later this month, with games in Venezuela, Colombia and Costa Rica.

They will then head to Monaco to play in the UEFA European Super Cup against Champions League winners Chelsea.

Coach Diego Simeone will be boosted by the news that midfielder Koke and left-back Filipe Luis have both recently signed new deals.

But there is one new face - Emre being put through his paces following a summer move from Turkish side Fenerbahce on a free transfer.
