The Scottish Premier League has advanced a six-figure sum of money to Gretna FC which will enable the club to fulfil their remaining fixtures.

Gretna are in administration but the SPL's intervention will pay the wages of the bottom club's players and keep them in business until the end of the season. Gretna owner Brooks Mileson is seriously ill and has withdrawn his funding.
