FC Shinnik Yaroslavl have signed South Africa midfielder MacBeth Sibaya from Russia Premier-Liga rivals FC Rubin Kazan on a one-year contract.

The experienced defensive midfielder, who has played for clubs in Hungary, Norway and South Africa, joined Rubin in 2003 and has since scored two goals in 101 appearances. The 31-year-old Sibaya played for his country at the 2002 FIFA World Cup finals in Korea/Japan.
