R. Standard de Liège moved closer to Belgium's Eerste Klasse title after Milan Jovanović's 78th-minute goal proved enough for a 1-0 win at KV Mechelen.

The club are now on 64 points, ten clear of second-placed Club Brugge KV, who are at home to KRC Genk on Sunday, and 12 above Cercle Brugge KSV, who visit fourth-placed RSC Anderlecht the same day.
