AS Monaco FC strikers Frédéric Piquionne and Serge Gakpé will not play again this season after both players had exploratory knee surgery on Monday.

French Under-21 international Gakpé was injured during Sunday's Ligue 1 defeat by Olympique de Marseille while Piquionne, 29, has not played since 5 April.

The 20-year-old Gakpé has scored three league goals in 30 appearances this term while Piquionne, capped once by France, has been on target seven times in 32 games.
