LISBON, Portugal (AFP) - Vitor Oliveira is the new coach of first division side Uniao de Leiria, taking over from Paulo Duarte who resigned on Monday after a fourth consecutive defeat.
It will be a second stint for Oliveira at Leiria having taken them into the top flight after the 1997/98 season. He will be in charge until the end of the season.
Leiria are currently languishing at the foot of the first division with just three points from nine games and are without a victory all season. It is the club's worst start to the season in 25 years.
