BERLIN (AFP) - Hertha Berlin defender Josip Simunic is to be sent to anger management classes by the Bundesliga club after picking up his fourth red card in eight months.
The fiery Croat lashed out at opponent Manuel Boelstler in his side's 2-0 German Cup defeat by minnows Wuppertaler on Wednesday and was sent off in the 75th minute which earned him a four-match suspension from cup games.
But Hertha manager Dieter Hoeness says the 29-year-old needs - and wants - help to curb his temper.
"I already spoke with Joe and he thinks it would be a good idea to get some professional assistance," Hertha manager Hoeness told German agency SID on Thursday.
"He is the first to admit he isn't very good when there is conflict around and that is an area he is keen to work on."
Mid-table Hertha are at second-placed Hamburg on Saturday in the Bundesliga.
