LONDON, Jan 9 (SW) – FA Cup holders Arsenal were handed the daunting task to defend their trophy away to Sam Allardyce’s Bolton Wanderers later this month, following the draw of the competition’s fourth round.

A double from Robert Pires had seen the Gunners ease past Cardiff at the weekend, but a tougher task is now awaiting Arsene Wenger and his men, after the London-based side were handed a tough Bolton test for the end of January.

Defeated 2-0 at the Reebok stadium at the start of December, the Gunners will certainly be hoping this new Bolton trip turns to their advantage.

Harry Redknapp’s Portsmouth face an even tougher task after being handed a promising home fixture against Liverpool, and needless to say Rafael Benitez will be hoping his side can book their place into the next round in a more comfortable manner, having had to battle to turn things round against Luton on Saturday night.

Alan Pardrew’s West Ham will face Blackburn at home, while minnows Nuneaton Borough and Burton Albion will be hoping for repeat miracles against Boro’ and Manchester United respectively, to be given the chance to travel to Coventry and Wolves in the fourth round.
