BUDAPEST, Feb 14 (SW) – Former Aston Villa manager John Gregory has admitted that he is in the frame for the vacant position as manager of the Hungarian national team.

The Englishman is in talks with officials from the Hungarian Football Association, and revealed that any decision could be made within the next fortnight.

“Talks are ongoing and there could be something happening in the next 10 days,” explained Gregory.

Gregory is hoping for a deal to be struck quickly, in order that he may face his home nation in a friendly set to take place on May 30 before England leave for the World Cup Finals in Germany.
