ROME, Apr 12 (SW) - AS Roma have advanced to the final of the Coppa Italia for the second time in a row. A 1-0 victory over Palermo was enough to decide the semi finals in favor of the Giallorossi.

Palermo had won the first match 2-1 in Sicily, but Roma's away goal in that game turned out to be crucial as Palermo failed to score away goals in the return leg.

Thirty minutes had been played at the Stadio Olimpico when defensive midfielder Damiano Tommasi netted the only goal.

Roma, who won the Coppa Italia seven times, face Internazionale in the final. Inter have won the tournament four times and reached the final by beating Udinese 3-2 on aggregate.

Before 2005, the two sides had never met in a final, but the giants will now be getting ready for their second battle in two years. Last year, it was Inter to take the trophy, beating Roma 3-0 on aggregate.
