TURIN, Aug 12 (SW) - Serie A clubs have been quick to pounce on players released from Torino and Perugia, following their enforced relegation to Serie B and Serie C1 respectively.
Midfielder Alessandro Conticchio has joined Cagliari from Torino, signing a two-year deal, whilst former teammates Giovanni Marchese and Andrea Mantovani leave the city to join up with Chievo.
The âFlying Donkeysâ have also signed goalkeeper Lorenzo Squizzi from Perugia to replace departed veteran Luca Marchegiani.
Both Torino and Perugia are expected to lose more players in the following weeks, as their financial predicaments allows all contracts to be considered void, allowing players to leave on free transfers.
