TSG 1899 Hoffenheim proved on Saturday that they are a team to be reckoned with. In their first ever Bundesliga encounter, they earned a 3-0 victory at Energie Cottbus.

Ibisevic had the honour of scoring Hoffenheim's first Bundesliga goal in history after sixteen minutes and Ba doubled the lead in the 54th. When Ibisevic added another in the 76th minute, Energie's resistance was broken.
