Because it really has gone a bit dry on the old All-Ireland front. The momentum I think has been lost for now, or has it?

When September comes, Glentoran will play Derry City at The Brandywell, in what is one of the loudest and biggest group games in the competition. So maybe, the players, managers and teams will be so fired up to get back into the Setanta Cup, they just want to get one hell of a beating over the other team.

Or is it, that when September comes, no one will be that bothered, especially in the North, where the league campaign takes priority.

Realistically, has the 5 month break been a good thing, could we of spread it out through February/March > October/November, can we really run this competition at all with the two separate league seasons North and South of the border? I'm still not convinced.
